2010年より京都大学の工学研究科・都市社会工学専攻にて准教授を務めています。ベルリン工科大学、ニューカッスル大学、そしてインペリアル・カレッジ・ロンドンで学び、博士号を取得しました。私の長年の主要な研究テーマは、公共交通ネットワークにおける乗客行動のモデリングであり、運賃体系、混雑、バンチング（集中運行）、リアルタイム情報などの側面を含みます。
現在の研究関心としては、クラウドソーシングデータを活用した旅行行動の理解、特に都市観光に関する研究が含まれます。私の研究の根本的な動機は、都市におけるより持続可能な移動パターンの促進と、「交通の充足性（transport sufficiency）」に関する議論を喚起することにあります。
